Experience

Ms. Behrendt was admitted to practice in Minnesota in 1989, the District of Minnesota Federal Court in 1991 and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in 1994. Upon admission to the bar, Ms. Behrendt clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Franklin L. Noel, United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, from 1989 to 1991. She joined Stich, Angell, Kreidler & Dodge, P.A., in 1991, and since that time has focused on motion practice and appeals in both state and federal court. Ms. Behrendt is an accomplished and experienced appellate practitioner, with involvement in over fifty appeals in the Minnesota appellate courts as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the William Mitchell College of Law, where she teaches Appellate Advocacy. Since January, 2008 Ms. Behrendt has been a volunteer attorney with the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Wills for Heros program, which provides wills, powers of attorney and health care directives for first responders including firefighters, police officers and paramedics.
